What we collect, why, and how to delete it
This policy covers the Immigration OS website, app and browser extension, operated by Atlas IntelliTek LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and send alerts.
- USCIS receipt numbers you add, and the case status text, dates and history USCIS returns for them.
- Profile details you choose to enter: your visa status, green-card category, country of chargeability, priority date, state, and dates such as EAD expiry or OPT start.
- Employment details you choose to enter: your employer name, job title, occupation code and petition validity date. We use the employer name to match public layoff notices (WARN Act filings on state labor-department websites) and the occupation code to show public Labor Department filing data. If you start the layoff clock, we store your last day of employment, the dates it produces, and any outcome you record.
- Travel plans you enter: the consulate, your travel and appointment dates, visa and petition dates, and the yes/no answers for the interview-waiver check. If you report how an appointment went, that report is shown to other members only as a percentage once at least ten reports exist for that post; never with your name, dates or receipt numbers.
- Alert channels you turn on: your email, a browser push subscription, or a phone number for text messages.
- If you use the browser extension or paste tool: the case data your own signed-in USCIS account returned. Never your USCIS password or cookies.
- If you forward USCIS emails to us: we read two sentences and the receipt number, keep a one-line record of what kind of notice it was, and discard the email.
- Usage events such as sign-up, trial start and payment, with the creator code you arrived with. We hash IP addresses; we do not store them.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer id and plan status, never your card number.
How we use it
To check your cases, send the alerts you asked for, personalise the news feed and deadline reminders, bill you, and pay creators a bonus when their code brings in a paying member. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we protect it
Receipt numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and looked up by a keyed hash. They are never written to logs. All traffic uses HTTPS. Access to production data is limited to the people who run the service.
Who else sees it
Only the providers needed to run the service: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email), Twilio (text messages, only if you turn them on), Stripe (payments), and the USCIS Case Status API itself. Each receives only what it needs. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it, and we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
How long we keep it
- Case history: while the case is on your dashboard, and 30 days after you remove it.
- Layoff clock records and matched layoff notices: until you delete your account. Public notice records themselves are not personal data and are kept for 2 years.
- Forwarded-email records: 90 days.
- Account data: until you delete your account, then 30 days in backups.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires (typically seven years), at Stripe.
Deleting your data
Open Settings and choose Delete my account. Your receipts and case history are deleted immediately; everything else within 30 days. You can also export everything we hold about you as a file from the same page, or email us and we will do it for you within 48 hours.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export and delete your data at any time from Settings. If you live in California, the CCPA gives you these rights by law, plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them; we honour them for everyone. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
If something goes wrong
If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we will email you within 72 hours with what happened, what was involved, and what we are doing about it.
Children
The service is for adults handling their own immigration cases. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will ask you to review and agree to the new version the next time you sign in. We will not apply new uses to data we already hold without your consent.
