- Do you need my USCIS account password?
- No, never. Case status comes from USCIS's official API. For online-filed (IOE) cases you can optionally install our browser extension, which reads your own signed-in account in your browser and sends only the status data — never cookies or passwords.
- What is a silent update?
- USCIS's systems record a modified timestamp on your case. It often moves days before the public status text changes. We alert on the timestamp and say exactly that — it usually precedes a visible change, but not always.
- Do you predict decisions?
- No. We show only what USCIS itself emitted and what published rules say. Predicted decision dates are what people complain about in other apps' reviews.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. It is software and information. Every rule and deadline links to its official source and effective date. For decisions about your case, talk to a licensed immigration attorney.
- How is my receipt number stored?
- Encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a lookup hash; it is never written to logs. The free check on this page does not store it at all.
